Whether it be old heartache, beliefs that no longer resonate, or projections of what we think our future should look like, life is a constant practice of allowing these experiences to come and go.
As humans, often we either try to control, attach or resist these experiences. We don’t always allow ourselves to simply be with what is. We find distractions to keep us from being fully present to how we feel- so we avoid our tight hips, having uncomfortable conversations, or facing our fears. But we are still left with the heaviness of carrying all the contraction and the question “Why can’t I just let it go?” Insert frustration here, right?
But what if it’s actually impossible to” let go”? What if all we can really “do” is simply sit allow everything to be? Pause and accept the sticky situations, emotions and discomforts and be open to dissolution.
There is no formula for avoiding what life throws at you- but you always have a choice- to contract and shut down or to stop resisting, remain open and live.
