One of the highlights of our retreats is sharing stories of the amazing women that attend. It’s inspiring hearing the events that shape women’s lives and how they move on to do wonderful things. For me it’s heart warming to see the role that female friendships, self love and importantly, taking time out to invest in wellbeing, play in enabling these transformations.
I chose the theme Live Your 2015 Story as I believe in the Power of intentions – simply, what you focus on you create. Sometimes though its hard to see through the fog and really know what our intention is. Without a flight map, how will we ever get to our destination? That is what is so powerful about asking the right questions of how you want our life to look, what we want to attract and gifting ourselves the space to just be and create our ultimate path.
Here’s how I chose to live my 2015 story, It’s broken in down into 3 themes – Impact, Learning and Love!
Impact
I want to grow the reach of our charity Creating Futures Foundation (www.creatingfuturesfoundation.org) to 4 orphanages to impact 500 Balinese children and families in creating bright futures.
Open 2 new locations for Escape Haven enabling more women around the globe to attend and have a place to focus on themselves and their wellbeing.
Learning
Read more – I’m a story junkie – love hearing about inspiring journey’s – particularly those of people who have triumphed over adversity. I’m so thirsty for knowledge. Love all the inspiring books that continue to be released. It was a book that inspired me to finally take the plunge in setting up Escape Haven years ago.
Self development – continue the journey of inquiry and self love. What I know to be true is the pay back in this area is huge. The more you spend on developing yourself – mind, body and soul – the greater you feel about life in general and the better you feel.
Write more -I find writing to be a tonic for my soul. I love getting in flow and often through putting pen to paper, the fog clears and what is left is the answer. I never know until I start writing where something is going to go!
Love
Prioritise romance and a loving relationship. As a busy women its easy to be too-busy-being-busy to make time for one of life’s biggest blessings – a loving relationship. Not this year!! 🙂
Spend more time in NZ and Australia with dear friends and family – realise just how precious time is and how finite it truly is. One of the biggest joys I have is the precious memories and moments I share with loved ones, the laughter, the love and the connection.
