This morning we woke up to the sounds of the local fisherman taking their boats out in front our place at 430am. Their day starts super early but finishes when they have ‘enough’, usually around 10am. It’s cruisy living around these sleepy fisherman villages in East Bali.
I think they have the art of balance pretty right. For them, enough is qualified by the amount of fish they have caught. In the western world, when is enough? Is there a metric or measure of contentment, of success, of being enough, having enough. If not, perhaps there is a lesson from these fisherman in that idea?
