Recipe: Coconut Cacao Smoothie
We love serving smoothies at our Bali retreat particularly to our Bali Fitness Retreat guests after a work out or after one of our surf or yoga sessions. Its a great reviver, is guilt free and super simple to make too!
- 1 Banana
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup coconut milk (or 270ml can) – if you like a lighter consistency, you can interchange this with coconut water.
- 2 Tbsp cacao powder
- 5 Medjool dates
- 1 Tbsp raw honey
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp organic peanut butter (optional)
- Handful of fresh mint leaves
- Handful of ice (optional)
Simply, place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 2 minutes until smooth.
This little nutritious sugar free number is a great mid afternoon snack bursting with fibre and will help satisfy sweet cravings and pick up flagging energy levels. Enjoy. This makes almost 2 serves so you can save some in the fridge for the next day or share with someone if you are feeling generous! Thanks Ben Warren for the inspiration.
