My Birthday Manifesto

A few days ago I celebrated my 47th birthday 🎂As always it’s a super reflective time for me where I go really drop into the year thats been and what I want to manifest into my future for my next lap around the sun!
As part of this, I like to create a birthday manifesto which is a way of living if you like, for the year to come. It helps to keep me on track and remember what’s truly important. (and what’s not)!
I felt it was fitting to share in this group as I saw the recent poll where the biggest reason for women dropping their self care was overwhelm and I thought this manifesto may help with those feelings.
I don’t think any of us are immune to this year that has been a bumpy ride for us at all some level. It makes sense that collectively, we are feeling the effects as overwhelm.
In those times, the best thing we can do is let go of those things that we can’t control and focus on what we can. This manifesto will help you do just that.
Let me know if any of these resonate with you and any that you like too.
My Birthday manifesto:
1 I focus on what I can control and release what I can’t.
2 I choose high quality sleep and ensure I get 8 hours, winding down before bed. I thrive when I have recovered well and the world seems much brighter when I am well rested and have great energy.
3. My thoughts shape my reality, so I choose positive thoughts and operate from a place of acceptance of myself and others.
4. I regularly tune into my intuition through stillness practices. I trust my intuition to guide what’s best for me.
5. I nourish my body with healthy wholefood because I deserve it. Improving my way of eating, improves my life.
6. I understand that health is the foundation of my success so I practice self care daily.
7. I always choose progress over perfection in my pursuit of a rich life.
8. I invest time in my friends because connection and community is key to living a happy, healthy life.
9. I love and approve of myself just as I am ––not in the future when I have achieved some elusive goal but right here, right now.
10. I have a daily gratitude practice as it focusses me on what is already great in my life and becomes the lense in which I interpret the world.
11. I understand that the path to a successful life isn’t linear. There are many bumps in the road, u turns and road blocks! Therefore, I am patient, loving and supportive of my body, my career and my life.
12. I understand my core values and embody these in how I live my life.
13.. I say yes to this life I have been given and choose to spend my time investing in the experiences, people and places that truly matter the most
Which numbers resonate the most with you?
